On July 1, 2024, the prestigious DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware, came alive with excitement as it hosted the ReEntry Delaware Celebrity Classic. This event, part of the many celebrity golf classics held throughout the year, brought together celebrities from sports, entertainment, and business to raise funds and awareness for ReEntry Delaware. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to supporting veterans and formerly incarcerated individuals as they transition back into society, providing essential services such as education, employment, career development, and housing assistance.





The Celebrity Classic was supported by high-profile sponsors including Wilmington University, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover, Eastern Industrial Services, Inc., LexisNexis, and many more. These partnerships are crucial in helping ReEntry Delaware fulfill its mission of reducing recidivism rates and improving the lives of returning citizens, particularly veterans who often face unique challenges after their service.





The event was a blend of charity, entertainment, and networking, offering a platform for community involvement and support. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with the cause and learn more about the impactful work being done by ReEntry Delaware.


The celebration began with a VIP Meet & Greet on June 30 at The Hotel DuPont, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. The reception paid tribute to Motown with incredible performances by talented artists. Marsha T captivated the audience with her renditions of Teena Marie’s hits, showcasing her powerful voice and emotional depth. SiSi Dash delivered an outstanding performance of Mary Wells’ "My Guy," followed by Gladys Knight & the Pips’ "Neither One of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye)" and Martha Reeves & the Vandellas’ "Dancing in the Street." Each song was met with enthusiastic applause, reflecting the timeless appeal of Motown classics.


The highlight of the evening was the performance by the legendary Intruders. They brought the house down with their memorable hits, including "Cowboys to Girls," "I Wanna Know Your Name," "A Love That’s Real," and "I’ll Always Love My Mama." Their energy and soulful sound transported the audience back to the golden era of R&B, creating a truly magical experience.






The event also featured notable appearances by Malone Harmon, CEO and Founder of ReEntry Delaware, and former Dallas Cowboy Erik Williams, who led the efforts to bring together the celebrities participating in this year's event. The two kicked off the event with inspiring opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of the organization’s mission and the positive impact of community support.
Keynote speaker, The Honorable Paul R. Wallace, a judge who oversees the Delaware Superior Court's Veterans Treatment Court, delivered an impactful speech at the Golf Tournament Reception, highlighting the critical need for programs that assist veterans in their reintegration journey.
